That "$99 whole-house special" is a bait ad - the real number appears once they are in your hallway, or the "clean" is a shop-vac at the register. We photograph the inside of your ducts before and after instead.
Meet the San Jose Team Behind Kestrel Air Duct San Jose
Kestrel Air Duct San Jose runs lean on purpose. Our crew is small enough that the person who answers your call probably knows which technician will walk through your door, and senior enough that nobody gets sent into a home before they’ve proven they can handle the equipment and the responsibility. Every member of this team works under the Kingswell Guarantee, which means the same written price, the same arrival window, and the same cleanup standard apply whether it’s a two-bedroom condo near Santana Row or a 1970s rancher in Willow Glen. We don’t hide behind a call center or rotate strangers through your house. You’ll meet the people who actually do the work, and they’ll leave their name on the job.
Styles & brands we work with

Our People
Luis M. – Lead Technician
Luis has been pulling debris out of residential ductwork for 14 years, the last six of them with Kestrel. He’s our Rotobrush specialist, which means he’s the one who decides whether a system needs aggressive brush agitation or a more measured pass. His specialty is older San Jose homes with retrofitted HVAC, where duct runs twist in ways the original builders never intended. Luis is also the guy who trains every new technician on the Nikro negative-pressure unit, because he’s seen what happens when someone fires it up without sealing the vents properly. Off the clock, he restores vintage bicycles and has strong opinions about which San Jose flea markets still carry decent chrome parts.
Dana R. – Senior Installer and Dryer Vent Lead
Dana handles every dryer vent cleaning we book and leads the crew when a job calls for a full filtration upgrade. She came to Kestrel from commercial kitchen exhaust work, so lint buildup doesn’t intimidate her, but what she really enjoys is the residential side, where a clogged dryer vent is usually a five-alarm fire risk the homeowner didn’t know they had. Dana’s specialty is lint trap bypass cleaning, which means she doesn’t just clear the visible lint screen, she opens the run and pulls packed lint from the wall cavity and the exterior vent cap. She keeps a notebook in the van with sketches of the strangest vent configurations she’s encountered in San Jose’s older apartment stock. Her dog is named HEPA, which tells you everything about where her head is.
Priya S. – Service Coordinator
Priya is the voice on the phone when you call (669) 220-7869. She’s been with the Kingswell family of companies for eight years, and she’s the reason our arrival windows actually mean something. Priya builds every schedule around real drive times between San Jose neighborhoods, not optimistic GPS estimates, and she’s the one who calls mid-route if traffic on 101 or 280 is going to nudge a window. She also handles the written pricing paperwork, so when a technician shows up, the number on the quote matches the number Priya discussed on the phone. Before Kestrel, she worked in hospital scheduling, which is why she treats a missed window like what it is: a broken commitment, not a minor annoyance. On weekends she hikes at Alum Rock Park and complains about the parking.
Marcus T. – Apprentice Technician
Marcus is our newest team member, nine months into his apprenticeship under Luis. He joined after two years in building maintenance, where he learned enough about HVAC systems to know he wanted real training. Right now he runs the Abatement Technologies HEPA filtration setup on every job, making sure loosened dust and debris stay out of the living space while the cleaning is underway. It’s the apprentice role for a reason: Marcus learns the system by watching how particles move, which means he understands containment before he ever touches a Rotobrush. He’s also the one who double-checks that every return vent cover goes back on straight, because Luis taught him that the last five minutes of a job are what people remember. He’s studying for his next certification and keeps a flashlight in his pocket at all times, even on days off.
One Standard, Every Job
The Kingswell Way isn’t a wall poster at Kestrel Air Duct San Jose. It’s the code Dale Whitmore, our owner, put in writing back in 2004, and every name on this page works under it: say the price, show up in the window we gave, leave the place cleaner, put the guarantee in writing, come back if it fails. That last part matters most. Our 365-Day Done Right Promise means exactly what it sounds like. If the work falls short within a year, we return and make it right at no charge. No phone tree, no debate about whether it qualifies. You call, you tell us what’s wrong, and we schedule the return. Background-checked, uniformed, and trained on the same Rotobrush, Nikro, and Abatement Technologies equipment in every market, this San Jose crew answers to one owner and one standard. You can hold us to it in writing, because that’s how we’ve done it from the start.
