That "$99 whole-house special" is a bait ad - the real number appears once they are in your hallway, or the "clean" is a shop-vac at the register. We photograph the inside of your ducts before and after instead.
Air Duct Cleaning Before & After in San Jose, CA
We can describe what a Rotobrush does until we’re blue in the face, but nothing beats the look on a homeowner’s face when they see their own return vent before and after. San Jose homes collect a surprising amount of dust, pet hair, and construction debris in their ductwork. Here’s what our work actually looks like, from the first camera inspection to the final walkthrough.

Return Vent Restored After Years of Pet Hair and Dust
Before
AfterThe return vent in this Willow Glen home was pulling air through what looked like a gray felt blanket. Years of golden retriever hair had matted against the grille, and the duct behind it was lined with a quarter-inch of compacted dust. We started with the Nikro negative-pressure unit to keep the loose debris from drifting back into the living room, then ran the Rotobrush through the return drop to break up the compacted layer. The homeowner asked us to pause halfway through because she could already see the metal again.
Post-Construction Debris Removed From Newly Renovated Home
Before
AfterThis one came to us after a kitchen remodel in Almaden Valley. The contractor had done the right thing and sealed off the vents during drywall sanding, but the seal wasn’t perfect. We found fine white dust coating every surface of the supply ducts, plus a handful of wood shavings that had settled in the boots. The Abatement Technologies HEPA filtration ran the whole time, which matters when you’re dealing with particles that fine. By the time we finished, the ducts looked like they’d never seen a renovation.
Two Decades of Dust in a 2004-Era Duct System
Before
AfterThis Japantown home had the original ducts from when the house was built, and they’d never been cleaned. The homeowner called us because every time the heat kicked on, she’d sneeze for twenty minutes. The camera inspection showed dust caked onto the duct walls in layers, some of it dark and oily from years of cooking residue that had worked its way through the system. We ran the Rotobrush at multiple speeds to get through the buildup, then did a second pass with the negative-pressure unit running to catch what the brush dislodged. The homeowner’s husband walked the house after we left and called to say he’d never seen the registers so clean.
Black Dust and Soot-Like Residue Traced to Candle Use

A homeowner in Berryessa noticed dark streaks around her ceiling registers and worried it was mold. Our inspection showed it wasn’t microbial growth. It was soot from years of burning scented candles, pulled through the returns and deposited along the duct walls and register edges. This is one of those jobs where the right diagnosis matters more than the cleaning itself. We explained what we were seeing, showed her the camera footage, then cleaned the system thoroughly with the brush agitation and negative-air extraction running together. The streaks haven’t come back, and she’s switched to unscented candles with the wicks trimmed short.
